The 17 Indian men, who have been saved the death charge right after getting convicted of killing previous year, have been sentenced in order to 6 months in jail by a UAE court on charges of selling alcohol against the law.
Yesterday, On the final hearing from the criminal case, the Sharjah Court of Appeal identified the men guilty on the charge.
The men got already been identified guilty of murdering a Pakistani person while in a brawl in Sharjah in year 2009 - a fight prosecutors said was aspect of the bootlegging turf war - but were spared the death sentence after paying blood money to the victim's family previous year.
In September previous year, the Sharjah Court of Appeal ordered the men to be deported and commuted their sentences to two years.
